Shift Your Shopping

Monday, November 14th, 2011

With the holidays fast approaching it’s important to make thoughtful choices when buying gifts. Not just what to give, but where to buy your presents. Here in West Concord, where we recently relocated, you can find everything you need for the holidays and all at locally owned independent stores!

From the famous West Concord Five and Ten to popular Debra’s Natural Gourmet  there are choices galore that will support your local economy. When you shop at any  Concord Indie business  you are helping the town of Concord remain the unique and vital town that made you choose to live here.

Sunflower Time!

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

August is a great time of the year for locally grown flowers and especially Sunflowers! Several times a week I start my day walking through the rows of  towering Suns at a local organic farm.  Alone with the peace and quiet of the early morning sounds of nature, I find it’s a perfect start to my day.

Most of the year our flowers arrive in boxes, shipped from all over the world,so I take great pleasure in this fleeting season when I can personally pick the product I will sell each day!

A local organic farm

This is where I pick the Sunflowers we sell in the summer.
